Freelance writing, research and analysis of automotive history, personalities, collector cars and the collector car market I have a fresh background in racing, particularly road racing in International GT endurance competition, and a particular interest and focus upon the collector car market including historical trends and economic analysis. I am the Auctions Editor for Victory Lane magazine and was Auctions Editor for Car Collector Magazine until its demise in early 2010. I am also a frequent contributor to Ferrari Market Letter and Cavallino magazine, a member of the International Motor Press Association and the Society of Automotive Historians. My work also has appeared in the Porsche 356 Registry and Pur Sang, the journal of the American Bugatti Club. Until December 1999 I was Auction Editor of Sports Car Market magazine. Contributions to AutoWeek include Escape Road articles on events and cars and the April 19, 1999 issue cover story on Terry Larson and XKC 023. In addition I regularly contribute catalog descriptions for Bonhams [& Butterfields], RM Auctions, Gooding & Company and The Worldwide Group. From 1993-1997 I was Commercial Director for Callaway Cars in Old Lyme, CT responsible for marketing and sales of street Corvettes, Camaros and Impalas and for racing sponsorship and technical/commercial partnerships during competition in FIA GT series with the Corvette LM GT2 and Callaway C7 GT1, raising over $2 million in cash and in kind during that period. From 1990-1993 I published my own newsletter of collector car auction results, Auto Market Journal, and regularly contributed to AutoWeek on collector cars and the market. Prior to 1990 I had a varied career in business including commercial banking, manufacturing, venture capital and cable television. I have a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Dartmouth College and a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School. Click here to return to the top of this page or here to return to the site index page.
